Hi I'm Vi, or as people have begun calling me as of lately, Water. I'm the webmaster of this website. For the most part, I'd say that I'm like any other webmaster on the internet these days. I focus my website around my various hobbies and online activities, with some day to day stuff added in occasionally. I try to keep my real life out of most things on this site, otherwise things here would be constant venting it feels like. Focusing on the positive things tends to work better for my mental health lol.

Primarily my hobbies consist of art, webgraphics & webdesign (though admittedly my designs focus more on graphics than code), and collecting trading cards, oshikatsu, and anime figures. I'm also pretty heavily into doujin music & playing MMORPGs and Yume 2kki. You'll find a lot of my various opinions on media here, most of which I watch primarily for enjoyment rather than giving any sort of professional reviews. If a lot of my thoughts on media or figures come off as very stream of consciousness, yeah, that's just kind of what I do. I apologize if that doesn't mean they're the most well written out there, but I'm just trying to enjoy myself on the internet rather than dealing with the constant arguing on other platforms or endlessly doomscrolling.

I'm not one of those people who super likes labels or anything, but I use them for the sake of making things easier. I guess the best way to put my stance on gender would be to say I'm non-binary, because I just don't care much for bothering with the specifics of gender. For the most part though, I'm an afab person who leans femme, and is just kind of whatever about it. I dunno what else there is to say. I've spent a decent time mulling about my thoughts on my own personal gender only to just go 'It's whatever' and kind of go about life. I use they/them primarily online, but she/her doesn't bother me.

In light of some things that came up on the site, I want to expand this blurb on my own personal gender a bit, so that people can get the picture. The reason I don't just settle solely on non-binary or really anything else is because my gender is always a bit of a back and forth. On the outside, I definitely present more femme, but on the inside, I grapple a lot with how I wish my appearance was much more gender neutral or even masculine at times. I also refer to myself as "this guy" a lot despite being they/them/she/her because gender is hard. For a long time (like since I was 13) I've been back and forth between the idea of whether or not I'm actually just a transmasc in denial, and considering I'm now 35 upon writing this, the answer is basically: I have no damn idea.

With that said, non-binary, genderfluid, transmasc, or whatever other gender I may be, I'm definitely under the trans umbrella.

My URL comes from the fight The Epic of Alexander, abbreviated to TEA, from Final Fantasy XIV. Same for the reason that I started going by Water online. It originates from the fact that when we first got to the BJCC phase, I completely skipped a mechanic and panicked, mumbling to myself that "Water goes on B unless it's on D" or something, and it stuck. Meanwhile "Ordained Motion" refers to the mechanic Fate Calibration, in which you are either given "Ordained Motion" or "Ordained Stillness." Motion means you must move obviously, and stillness became a meme to the point where you have people literally filming themselves hitting the escape key twice on their keyboard in order to "Respect Stillness," otherwise you die. I dunno what else to say. I like this fight. It's a neat fight. If you've played this game, you should do this fight if you haven't yet. Don't tell yourself you're not good enough, go learn it. It's worth the effort.
