So I was going to do another one of these at the beginning of the year. I uh... didn't get around to that truth be told. I'm sure you gleaned that by now. Well, since it's a day away from June, I finally decided to do this. Originally the reason I held off was because I had ordered some things and they were taking forever to come in. Well, that's because I used surface shipping and then I was there like the surprised Pikachu image wondering why it was taking forever. Enough of that aside uh yeah hi here's another room tour.
I figured the best way to start this room tour of is, ironically enough, exactly how I started off my last room tour. With a wide angle of the room. Whenever someone walks in, this is what they're greated by. And it's awesome because you really have to walk into my room to see how many figures I have now. Like I dunno what it is, but there's something about the idea of them not being in people's face that I really enjoy. Mostly because they don't get to question me about my questionable life choices.
Here's the poster wall. I feel like this hasn't changed a whole lot, but maybe that's just because I'm used to seeing it. The plushie net is a lot more full obviously, but also I moved quite a few things around in there. At some point I should probably reorganize it, but the thought of doing so honestly gives me a nightmare. It's just too much. One of the Yamato bunnies is trying to escape. Meanwhile, Squirtle & Bulbasaur seem to be bonding.
The glass cabinet. The one that I said "Yeah I'll be fine with this and I totally won't grow out of it" and then I got another one, struggled to fill it, and then bought yet another one. In my mind, for some reason this is completely full, even though I have a shelf that just... isn't full. Like I don't know why I keep treating it like it is. Who knows. I expect the bottom to get claimed by Yae Miko. Also please ignore the 2nd picture where Seto Kaiba just has his face completely cropped out lol. L Bozo.
I tookt his shot moreso because I wanted to showcase all the posters and stuff above the closet. But also I suppose it's a look at all the AmiAmi postcards next to Miku. Well, just barely.
Also yes, this closet is like 50% anime figure boxes. Thanks for asking. The biggest is still Megahouse Kaiba's box, because of course it is.
I need to like, finally spraypaint this dresser and put vinyl wrap ontop of it. I think the black is kinda ugly and clashes with the rest of my stuff, but it was a cheap dresser and I really needed it. I was using those sterile rolling drawer things as dressers and let me tell you, that is no way to live. Still, I do really want to customize them at some point and I just keep putting it off. Might even sew covers on the front of the drawers, assumign the fabric is thin enough.
Also yes, I cover the part of the mirror that I would see reflected back at me during sleep with a poster, if I don't just leave my closet open. Why? I hate mirrors in the dark. I honestly just hate mirrors. My mom's friend told me about scrying when I was like 14 and put the fear of what a bruja could do with a mirror in my head and it has stayed there. Like, I'm going to be 36 and I'm still scared lol. I just hate it.
If there's anything I have a lot of aside from figures, it's probably plush dolls. These ones are just on display because of the fact that I like them like that. For the most part they're keychains that don't look awkward on the rack, like the laying bunnies tend to do, or the sitting ones also kind of do.
I would have to say of all of these, aside from the duplicate of the Kaiba that I tend to take everywhere with me, my favorite would have to be the Construction BEWD. She's so silly.
I replaced the old 3x2 Kallax dupes with a 3x3 Kallax dupe in white. It's not the most sturdy (this is what happens when you pay 30 dollars for it instead of coughing up the 90 for an actual kallax) but also I just like the height of this one more, and the extra space afforded by 2 extra cubes. Oh yeah, and the other one had water damage which was my main reason to get rid of it.
I wanted to take a few shots of some of my media collection. You can't really see it all very well, but like, just know that Law had nowhere else to go where he looked good so he's standing directly in front of my copy of DSOD & also my copies of PC Umineko, as well as TTGL, NGE's Platinum Edition box, Catherine, P5, and a few Final Fantasy games. And PS3 Umineko as well. Yuudachi is in front of my FF stuff (like for example my old physical copies of ARR, HW, and SB) as well as most of Kingdom Hearts. House Seasons 1-6 is off to the side, but I want to replace them with the blu-ray box, simply because Season 5 had a disc stolen out of it by my mom's boyfriend to spite me. And also Estinien is just blocking your view of a copy of Fallout 4. Next to it is a lot of LoTR's theater versions, some of the hobbit, a few Miyazaki films, the Dark Knight & the Dark Knight Rises, Phantom of the Opera (2004), R.E.N.T, the Sims 3, and Disgaea. I neglected to name Odin Sphere & the two Switch games I realize--Those being Brilliant Diamond & New Horizons. The CDs are a large assortment of all kind of stuff. You'll see these eventually get added to the music page. I say this because I don't really want to list them all right now I have a LOT of cds, as I'm sure anyone who's looked around this site has noticed. It's been a while since I've really bought any, but there's quite a few things I'd like copies of. Like a lot of Akiko Shikata's work, the Umineko OSTs (no matter how much they cost), quite a few doujin cds I'd love to have. But I'm not particularly worried about that right now.
Shoutout to the still unplayed copy of Tales of Xillia. Soon. Maybe. After I replay FFX and also get back to my NG+
Picture of some of my Itabags. I kinda just put the Kaiba one together hastily, so it's kinda ehh. One day I'll get around to properly making it. But that might not be for a while. Due to some personal issues, I'm kinda just not feeling it these days.
Shots of my bed. And of course, all the posters I have surrounding my bed. I have significantly less plush on my bed. Yes, the bed still belongs to Kaiba. Unfortunately I have to sleep on the floor because he's a greedy hog..
The keychain wall. I'm still unsure if I necessarily like the grid more than the original itaboard I had going a while back, but I do think it's neat to have everything in one place. Even if it has to be anchored into the wall with some of the longest nails known to mankind to support the weight. Yes, this thing has fallen off the wall before in the middle of the night and crashlanded on me. And it was pretty damn horrifying. Whenever we move out of here, I have to redo this entire wall with spackle and paint, if not more than just that. There are so many holes.
The rest of my anime figure shelves. Going to focus on the Billy before talking about the smaller shelf. Also Fs in the chat for Kangel's PuP that just got disrespected by having the door's trim be right on her face.
I am still unsure how I like the arrangement of these shelves to be quite honest. It's mainly every shelf but the pink abyss that throws me off. I'm like, insanely pleased with that one. But never really felt pleased with the Tales shelf. Maybe I'll change my mind the next time I rearrange.
Since I really wanted to show off a lot of the media I have in this blog, I decided to take focus shots particularly of these shelves. Top one is my manga, but the occasional blu-ray is up there. Primarily my Jojo stuff. I should complete that collection one day, at least for Parts 1&2. I'd love to also own 3&4 on blu-ray at some point but like, part of my motivation for finishing part 2's stuff (as I have all of part 1) is that it has subs. But who knows, I might bite the bullet at some point. Not like I don't have blu-rays without subs like the GBF anime & DSOD ones. But yeah, I have a small Jojo collection, the Mabinogi manga based off G1, Raven's spinoff manga for ToV, half of Chimelical Complex for Blazblue, along with one of the novels, some YGO stuff, a stray Frieren volume, the One Piece spinoff that skirts the line between being a spinoff and just straight up ecchi, half of Honey & Clover, Tov First Strike, Bebop, Liz and the Blue Bird (which I still need to watch), Granblue stuff, TTGL's Parallel Works, and then some of the Persona 3 manga.
The bottom is more of a mishmash of stuff. There is a lot of doujinshi. A lot of it is ToV again. Some of it is IDOLiSH7 as well. The rest is just a mix. Most of this is just FF14 reference books. I need the other 2 Encyclopedia Eorzeas at some point, and I'd also like the missing artbooks that I don't have (Which currently is 2, but I know another will be coming out soon enough because we're at the end of Dawntrail.) There's a few misc books in there as well. I have the program from the ARTPOP Ball "ARTRAVE," and also my programs for when I saw both Phantom of the Opera & Wicked. There's a few IDOLiSH7 books, Code Geass, Maplestory, Mabinogi, TTGL, and even Blazblue. The rest is all notebooks, sketchbooks, and other personal stuff.
Here's my newest shelf. It starts out pretty normal but I'm sure you can see the obvious giant shrines kinda glaring at you. I honestly would not be surprised if this entire shelf just gets claimed by Sanji. It's his shelf now. And maybe the Master Chief's but primarily his. I am absolutely fine with reorganizing the top shelf and just letting him take over. Speaking of the top shelf, the Stocking is going to be in a review, whenever I get to that. But she belongs to a friend. So she's just sitting here for a hot second before I ship her out. The Nami behind Eve is mostly broken. I kinda wanna fix her properly at some point, but I gotta find out how to take the pegs out of her base and completely anchor them onto the base. I've been given the advice of "just use a drill bit and some metal rods" but like, I don't have a power drill, or really any access to one or even a safe space where I could drill into PVC. Very sad.
Anyways, I really like this shrine. I like looking at it. He makes me happy. I feel less miserable being surrounded by people who gave me grief and told me how I should be as a lesbian and what kind of characters I should like. I 100% admit that I saw him and I was like "oh yeah the womanizer" and rolled my eyes and then got emotionally clocked by Oda in the same fucking introduction arc and I had missed like half of it. I got fucking got, I didn't wanna admit it at first because of pride, but uh now I'm better. Like I get it it's probably stupid to come into a room tour post show my shrine of my silly little guy that is entirely way too expensive and start going on about things like how much trauma I've had to deal with related to my own gender & struggle between my own feminity and masculinity and say "wow this anime boy really actually fucking helped with that and me being able to accept myself" and even though I don't think I'm magically moving past trauma or anything or that I would ever change how I ended up being a lesbian or nonbinary or all of that, I've learn to accept my femininity and not just see it as a blight on myself. So I'm very grateful for that. Happy Pride I guess.
But yeah I suppose that's my Sanji shrine.
Oh yeah and I put some of my CDs up here. They're mostly Gaga, but the end is a few Marina & a single Florence. Admittedly, it's to fill space, but I kinda fuck with it. I didn't put all my Florence ones here though because the other 2 are with all my CDs that have like slip covers.
Please ignore that I accidentally put Born this Way before The Fame Monster LOL. Otherwise, they're ordered based on how I remember the releases going. I'm missing a few of Gaga's other CDs but it's whatever. I'd like to get the other Tony Bennet one though.
I also put all my Halo stuff together because god do I love Halo. I'm sure anyone who has seen my WoL's name in FF14 could tell you I love Halo but like I have to reiterate it. I really REALLY love Halo. Like the Bungie Era Halo specifically because I just do not fuck with the later Halo installations considering how Microsoft is all about trying to make Halo everything it's not and also making you pay for red. Like what the fuck do you mean you need to pay for red?
Near the side of my last shelf is where I currently keep the craft items cart. I also have these tapestries I don't really know where to put right now. And yes, that is a pile of unfinished yans.
Shot of my desk. I took the other half of it and put it in my closet, mostly because I needed the Billy wallmounted for the doors, but like...I also really wanted it to be white. I need to fix the top by either getting impatient with myself and spraypainting it or putting vinyl wrap ontop of it. I really should have bought white though!!!
Oh yeah you can also see my doll on my desk who I enjoy going on dinner dates with. He's the cutest thing in the world and he is so soft and I love him. Like I love all my dolls but I love him almost the most because unfortunately Mofuyama is my number 1 creature of all creatures.
And this is the cds I have on my desk. The first picture that focuses on the Doujin CDs I won't bother listing, mostly because they already have mini reviews on the site. So go check out my music page. The second picture is a mix of things. It's everything that has some form of slip cover. TTGL, IDOLiSH7, Ayu, Capsule, RHCP, Deadmau5, TotA, Purity Ring, Pink Floyd, Kanye, Coldplay, Ghost, Florence, Shikata Akiko, and Livetune. What a mix. A lot of it is not organized or even grouped together, I just started sticking CDs there as they failed to fit other places.
Anyways, for the most part, that's how my room currently looks. I'll probably toss these images into my gallery at some point. Probably soon. If not like in 5 seconds after I write this. Not that you will be able to tell because I'll probably upload it later.
Still, it was fun to do this. At times I really miss Felix having his bed in my room. Looking back at the old entry and seeing him there, happy as could be, kinda really stung. Oh well, he's in a better place now. I can't repeat it enough but thank you to everyone who was so kind after he passed.
Well, enough depressing stuff out of the way, thank you all for reading! And Happy Pride to all!
