Hello gamers, it's been rough this last weekend, despite it only being a few days since family returned from their trip.

Yes I'm aware that it's literally only Monday and I'm here like "ROUGH WEEK, HUH" but also like... It's been rough, buddy.

Also bare with me, as I wrote this while nearly falling asleep.

Picture of me getting my ass beat by real life responsibilities piled on top of social expectations, keeping the dog happy, taking care of my sick grandma (and lazy grandpa), as well as dealing with incredibly stressful medical screening. Oh, and also playing Minecraft and pissing my spare time away instead of working on the site.

Was that a lot? Maybe. Needless to say, until the 2 week Minecraft phase passes, I'll probably be pouring my effort into that and forgetting about... uhhh... Everything else I don't need to do because I lack the time. I'm slowly working through the things I need to do, so soon I'll hopefully have some neat content for you. And maybe some of the other things I like to post related to games, cards, anime etc. It'll get here in time, but it's not something I've forgotten about. I just don't want to burn myself out.

Anyways, let's change topic real quick. I said I'd do a loot blog in another entry, and I'm here to deliver the loot I've gotten since the New Year started. Keep in mind that a decent amount of this is preorder stuff, as well as a few gifts in there. I basically paid for most of it before I really decided to take a look at my consumption and decided I needed to cut down quite a bit. I know I said I would probably make an exception for my hobby, but I really haven't added all that much to my orders. I'll say which items weren't preorders under the pictures. I think outside of orders I've committed to last year though, I've done fairly well on my no-buy so far though? I really only bought 1 thing that I didn't use before, and since it's related to skin care, I definitely use it. Honestly the bottle is already 1/4th gone.

I won't lie though, I think most of the impulse buys I've done were related to snacks. The only 2 things that weren't were origami paper, which I wanted to use for paper stars. Oh well. I guess I'll move onto the orders.

Starting with my December Amiami order, which got combined with some November stuff. This was all supposed to be one order, but it ended up being split because of so many delays, so I'm finally getting parts of what was originally. Also the super cute Krile shirt. But yeah, mostly acrylic stands. I won't lie, I think I'm going to aim to stop buying these soon. It's not that I don't like them, it's that I have so many already, as well as the excess I trimmed when I decided to sell some of my Yamato merch I didn't have room to display. I feel like it's basically time to curate a bit more, and that means not buying these as often, especially not when it's all the same character. At the very least, if I do buy any more, the goal will be to aim to get cute and unique designs that deviate from a series usual style, or illustrations I really like. But definitely trying to cut down on having a ton of 1 character and would rather get them for characters that I don't have all that much of--If at all. Honestly, the less I look at the ones I don't own yet, the better.

Honestly, this is the big haul. The Christmas order from FJ. This is usually what I tend to regularly buy each year, though I included pictures of the gifts I got a few people as well. Mixed in there is some stuff from Amiami, but the Amiami stuff is really small--That being the 2 XIV keychains as well as the postcard of Amico, which is a freebie. Honestly, this is the first postcard of Amico that I really wanted. When I didn't get it last time, I was kind of bummed lol. Anyways, I won't really go into detail which of this stuff is mine and which isn't. A lot of it was in the Room Tour, which was taken way after I made this loot blog. I just remembered to dig up the pictures.

Also yes those are Blue Eyes slippers.

Editing this and adding it later, but most of this isn't preordered. The Mochis, the Nanoblocks, the Blue Eyes slippies (and the purchase bonus clearfile), and the jobstone keychains were preordered. Since a decent amount of these are prizes & older items that I still bought secondhand, they were definitely added on later. Basically, 6 of these items weren't already paid for. Though, originally I had preordered the Shining figure when she came out. She's so pretty. It's unfortunate I had to cancel, but oh well, I got her years later.

Honestly though, I prefer to get preowned & secondhand figures over preorders, but every once in a while I get in the mood to get something that's coming out. At some point I will show my preorders, but I've really only added about 3 preorders since the year started.

Honestly when I preordered Yoko, I didn't think she was going to be the first of many from GSC. I don't mind her and all--Honestly, I'm quite happy with her despite the fact that she came in one of the infamous pizza boxes. I'll save my opinions on all that for a review blog of her though. Still, she's really cute, and I feel like the complaints of "she looks worse than the previous one" feel a little, I don't know, like complaining for the sake of complaining? IDK, it's just me. I'm not trying to aimlessly defend GSC though, because they've done enough bad things recently. Honestly, I'd have cancelled all together if I was able to, but after hearing that they've apparently gone and charged people without consent by pulling up their old card information when they don't honor the preorder agreement, I'll just take the L on my preorders and just pay up.

Real talk, I think I'd be a bit happier if he didn't feel as barebones as he did. At the very least, I wish this Nendoroid was made back when they gave a shit about the Nendoroid line, becuase it'd be cool if it was one of those deluxe looking sets. I remember one of the old ones had this big bird that the character rode as a mount and I was like "Wow it sure would be cool if we could have an actual Blue Eyes to go with him. But no. Just disappointment. Even an acrylic stand would be cooler. But all you get is a weird plastic sheet with Blue Eyes printed on it, and it was a preorder bonus. Awkward.

Either way, the Nendoroid itself is very cute, so I'm not completely unhappy with it. But the briefcase would have been nice to get. In all honesty, I wouldn't buy him unless he's on sale or you really like Kaiba or YGO.

Frieren Popup that arrived the same day the Frieren collab with Mabi went live. I should... work on doing that event to be honest.

Either way, I honestly had forgotten I had preordered her, and she arrived as a surprise because I got her on Amazon. She's not too bad, but she definitely feels small. I don't like the base though, and I think I'm going to aim to customize it. I'll take pictures when I get around to that.

I find it weird thast I've seen a lot of people complaining about her, because she seems fine, despite the fact that she's a Goodsmile product as well as a PUP but I think she's okay. Not spectacular but I don't know, I see so many people wanting high end scale quality from prizes and it baffles me. I just never know what to say to stuff like that because I feel like saying that they're weird to expect high end quality for something they paid next to nothing for seems more in favor of the company, rather than it just being something you're used to not thinking about due to years of collecting.

Anyways, I'm beginning to fall asleep, so I'm probably going to clean up and head to bed. I don't think I have much slated for the rest of February so my next posts about loot will probably be in April at the earliest.
