XIV House Tour

It's time gamers. It's finally time. Mostly because I resubbed finally but I also finally sat down and took some pictures of my FFXIV house. So, y'know, here it is. The house tour I was going to do last month for everyone. But also, since I also went into my FC room and took pictures as well, you get that as a bonus.

Honestly, don't expect anything super great. Because uh, I won't lie, I was too lazy to reinstall re-shade. And thus, there's no filters on these pictures. They look pretty desaturated in comparison to everything else on my site. Who knows, maybe while I fix things up, I'll add a filter through Photoshop.

Yeah knowing me, that's exactly what's going to happen.

Also, I'm just going to say, I excluded my apartment from this tour because that's just a warehouse where furniture goes to die. Maybe I'll decorate it again, but I have no real ideas for it right now. But considering we're getting the ability to upgrade our houses to however the hell we want in 7.2, I will probably be more focused on my actual house layout as a large, because admittedly, I've always wanted to try decorating a large. Well, hopefully I finish the MSQ before that though because uh I won't lie, I've been dragging my feet. Oops.

Anyways uh, starting with the FC room.

So, here's what you can see from the doorway. I feel like it's nothing too elaborate. But I do generally like the vibe of this one, even if it's not super fancy. I know a lot of people tend to use BDTH for a lot of their layouts, and while I absolutely used it here, I didn't go overboard on it. Probably because I spend so much slots on partitions. Oops.

Multiple angles of the front area. I tried to keep this from having an overly sectioned off feel to it, but I think it's still kind of there. Still, I like the eating area. I feel like it's the best way to keep an area for food tucked away. I also have no idea why when I designed it, I was considering how cleaning it up would factor in. Weird, because in the other little kitchen area, there's no wood either. Maybe it would have made more sense to put an overall wood flooring and 2 rugs instead of carpet and wood panneling over the carpet? Dunno. A Housing Mystery, truly.

Now, to the other part of the room. I feel like the corner where the wardrobe is isn't super busy, and part of me wonders if I should have just grabbed a diagonal partition or a rounded partition and done that instead, just to add some sort of visual depth without using up more slots to make it more interesting. I dunno, I might change it in the future. The other 2 parts like the desk and all the wall features around it look good, as well as the bed--Or at least they do in my eyes.

Here's a close up of the desk under loft bed to finish off this room tour. It's covered in Halo's clutter, but I feel like that's generally just the vibe she gives off. Stuff everywhere and way too many things left out because she's far too busy most of the time. But the books are kept nice.

Gonna start off with the outside of the house for the next part.

Here's my plot and my really obnoxious not-matching housing skin. I might change it soon, but I mostly got it because I really loved the look of the little bath on the side. That and I had downgraded from a Medium to a Small and it auto converted my skin and I was too lazy to make something else. I'm gonna see about making the new one because it's nice, but I'll also be making whatever new housing stuff has come out for 7.2 at some point because well, I have nothing to do and I doubt I have all that much time to raid.

Also, I live in front of Dangoulain's Devotion because I love my beautiful wife Ysayle.

Well, here's the first floor of my house. Little kitchen area, with some seating. A decent amount of it is just walled off, making for a short entry hallway that leads downstairs. Honestly, the kitchen may be small, but it's probably my favorite build for a kitchen so far. I recently tried to shove the new oven thing into it, and messed around with it quite a bit, but I might put it back. Who knows lol. I suppose I'll know when I can upgrade my house to a large, or how that goes (I say that like I didn't delay this blog long enough to the point patch came out, and can now look into how that all works.)

A quick view of my hallway. I honestly wish I took these pictures when it was day so it'd be lit up. But my staircase starts with the weird Estinien shrine that makes him seem like he's dead and continues down to a little sitting area in front of a window. It also looks into the surrounding room, which leads me to the next part

Here's my trophy wall. It's kind of the big feature of my house, at least in my opinion. I didn't want the regular crafted EX trophies, they're ok but they're not impressive IMO. So I did what most people do, and made a weapon wall with my White Mage canes from the 2 ultimates I've cleared. I hope to one day clear the rest of the ultimates, but I think at this rate, I'll probably aim to finish UCOB & DRU and that's it.

Well, here's the rest of the room. Next to the weapon wall is where my character has a little art studio, because I didn't really know what to put there and I didn't want it to be too sectioned off. So I went with a bunch of easels. Across from that is a work desk. Though is it a work desk for getting ready or making potions? We'll never know. And also there's just a little sitting area near the wall.

Above my desk area is a loft where my bed area is. It has a wardrobe, used to have the message book (I now moved it to the front), and the makeshift Blahaj. Well, that's really it.

Sorry this blog took a while to come out. I initially wrote it last week, but some interesting stuff with a person I don't really feel comfortable associating with happened, and it kind of threw me off. I initially was going to write a large ass blog talking about it, but I honestly decided that despite having it all typed out, it's not worth the problems it'll inevitably start. That, and I feel like despite the fact that we've mutually blocked one another in the past, these issues aren't going away. They're just going to block and unblock me on a whim so I'm just like whatever, I don't want to put any more energy into this. I'm not interested in fighting over opinions over FFXIV characters, you do what you want. People who wanna know the TEA are welcome to ask if they care, but otherwise, I'd rather not talk too much about it here.

Normally, I'd tell everyone who isn't here to read my drama where my house is in FFXIV right about now but uh... I don't remember my plot name offhand and I honestly just want to post this blog, so I'll edit it later!
